Tricesimo, Udine, Italy

The Nativity will be visible from December 8, 2012 and up to January 31, 2013 every day from 9.00 to 21.00. Moreover, on holydays it will be also possible to visit the small church. This year, the local news channel TG regionale del Friuli Venezia-Giulia filmed and broadcast repeatedly the making of the sand sculpture, interviewing Francesca e Walter Sandytales. Special thanks to Antonio Caiazza and his cameraman.

Following the great success encountered in the previous editions, with over 10,000 people visiting the church of St. Pelagius in Tricesimo (UD) each year, Sandytales authors the sand Nativity in the atrium of the sixteenth century church also for the 2012 Holidays. The making of the sand sculpture required 9 days of work with the sand nativity taking shape in all its splendor at the end of the effort. The organizers enriched the sand Nativity with a special illumination effect recreating day and night phases, emphasizing and enhancing the sculpture shadows effects.
